Building Bikes for Kids

You may be asking yourself, “So how does this work?” It’s simple, we contact the youth organization of your choice, in the city where the event will take place, and arrange for students in that community to receive bicycles that were built by your teams.

Overview:

Seeking a fun, high energy, team building exercise that will only take a few hours? Are you interested in bringing life and energy to your next company wide or regional meeting? Are you looking to give back to the community? Well this is your lucky day! Welcome to the Building Bikes for Kids corporate team building session!

Specifics:

When teams arrive in the ballroom, conference center, or any other open area, they will find tarp-covered masses, each surrounded by 10 to 12 chairs. The first challenge will be to find the correct combination to unlock what is beneath the tarp. Once the parts have been exposed, the teams may then start the process of building their bicycle. The challenge is this: all of the parts that each team has possession of will not fit their particular bike! Just as each team member is assigned to a team, each team is assigned to a kid. The children, will typically arrive to the event about an hour or so into the process, and assist the team in the final stages of construction. Each team, with the assistance of the sponsored child, will then create a commercial, which might incorporate your organizations core-values, spotlighting a new product, spotlighting the child or sponsoring organization, or myriad other topics.
